By downloading, installing, or using the Lateral mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Lateral is a lateral thinking puzzle game where users interact with AI characters by asking yes/no questions to solve mysteries. The App is available on iOS devices.

User Accounts

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

Subscriptions and Purchases

• The App offers optional in-app subscriptions (weekly and monthly plans).
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use automated systems or bots to interact with the App
• Share or distribute content from the App without permission

Intellectual Property

All content, characters, puzzles, artwork, and design elements in the App are owned by Lateral and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any content from the App.

AI-Generated Content

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate character responses. AI-generated content is provided for entertainment purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of AI responses.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lateral shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
